Marr Milestone!
hub South West are please to announce the handover of Phase-1 of the innovative Marr College extension and refurbishment project, to South Ayrshire Council.
The £36 Million project is being delivered by our Tier-1 contractor Kier Construction Scotland, and comprises of 5 phases being built over the next two years. This includes the comprehensive refurbishment of the original Grade B listed building, with a brand new wing being constructed over three storeys, connecting it to the rear of the building over all floors. A single storey sports facility will also be built, which will be easily accessible for both pupils and the wider community outwith school hours.

Phase-1 involved the creation of a temporary science and technology building that enables the pupils and staff to decant out of the existing building in time for the phase-2 refurbishment works to commence. Due to the successful completion of phase-1, all works to Marr College will be carried out whilst the school remains operational. The school currently has a role of 1,033 pupils and following completion in Winter2017, the school's capacity will increase to 1,360 pupils.
